This is something that irritated me since I installed Windows on my Mac. It mounts the windows partition but it shows up as “untitled” and I don’t like that one bit. So how do you fix it? Is it some magical OSX command? The answer is NO it is not some magical OSX command. In fact, the answer is inside windows itself. So how do you fix it? Easy

Go to “My Computer”
Right click on “Local Disk (C:)” (or whatever your Mac is. My MBP is 2 fingers on touchpad and click)
Click on “Rename”
Type in “Windows” or “Vista” or whatever you want.

Reboot into OSX and you will see it has changed to what you set it to. Just a note. If you screw up your computer doing this, its not my fault.
