So the cpa place actually called me back. I was quite surprised when the phone rang. However the information I received was not what I was looking for. The jist of the whole conversation basically followed “its tax season, so we focus on doing peoples taxes. when you register your business and its not tax season then call back”.

I will try another cpa this week and hopefully get better results. All I am looking for is more detailed information on doing/paying taxes for an LLC.

I haven’t posted in a week so I thought I would throw up a general post.

I am still loving my iPhone. I am awaiting them to open up a SDK for it. It is/was suppose to be opened in February, but that is coming to an end and has yet to happen.

Work has been pretty damn busy. Cloning and deploying over 110 computers can cause quite a bit of work. Not to say that I won’t enjoy the extra money coming in. Trust me I will.

I have also been looking into registering a business for free lance web development. I have been looking into starting a sole proprietorship or a L.L.C. This will many help for tax reasons. I called a CPA today and got greeted by an unfriendly secretary who made a condescending noise when I mentioned that I wanted to ask a few questions. Like I was suppose to know she was not a CPA. Hopefully the accountant will give me a call like the secretary told me he would.

Freelance work has been quite a bit lately as well. There is always something going on these days which is also a good thing. My shopping cart is coming along pretty good. So far I have been working on the store administration area. Some things are more fun to build than other areas. Tax Groups/Zones are not so fun to build.

Damnit… I setup SVN (subversion). My lack of understanding how it works had me with several working directories. So when I went to clear them out I accidently deleted one to many. I deleted the folder containing the work on my shopping cart I have been working on since AIT. Thats over 5 months ago.. All gone. So now I have subversion working, along with a cron job that runs every night to back up that folder so it never happens again. Remember, backups are important. Don’t be like me and have to learn the hard way.

I may have 2 hard drives with a raid 1 (disk mirroring) in case one hard drive fails, however this does not prevent you from doing dumb things to it.

I have ordered an iPhone and should be getting it tomorrow. This of course depends on if FedEx is going to have a good day. Its says it will be delivered but who really knows. However, I cannot wait, as BoostMobile has really irritated me in some changes they have made. 1. They no longer warn you when your minutes are going to expire. 2. They no longer tell you when you are running low on minutes until you have less than one minute left on your account. Before usually when you got down to around $5.00 they would start telling you. Not anymore. On top of that, for the past year or so I have had other problems with them. 1. I cannot reboost my phone over the phone based system. I have to call the number and do it. I have been getting “System Error. Please try again later” for over a year. It should not take that long to fix this problem. They know about it, and have for a long ass time. 2. When you call my phone, you don’t always get my phone. WTF, seriously? Yes seriously. I have warned people about this, and a few have even mentioned they didn’t get me so who knows. After tomorrow, bye bye BoostMobile/Nextel/Sprint, and hello AT&T. I had AT&T a few years ago before I switched to prepay, so lets hope they are still just as good with service.
